La Sierra’s story began in 2000, when Felix Lopez opened the first location in Forest Grove, Oregon. Growing up in the family business, his son Rigo worked alongside his father and brother, learning the values of hard work, quality, and community. In 2018, Rigo ventured out on his own in Sheridan, and in 2021 he brought La Sierra to his hometown of Newberg. Today, La Sierra Newberg Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is proud to carry forward the Lopez family tradition of delicious food, warm hospitality, and service you can trust.
